Both food, and photography have been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. I still have all of my childhood cookbooks. I graduated with a degree in advertising photography, and specialized in food photography. After graduation I moved to New York where I began an internship with Mark Seliger, a celebrity photographer, and fell in love with the fast paced environment of working in production. The nuts, bolts, and tears of getting an advertising shoot completed. After a year of working, galavanting around the city by day, Brooklyn by night with my friends, I decided to move back to Seattle where I’m from. As I grew into making a home for myself, I began cooking more and more, scouring food blogs and magazines for recipes of inspiration. I now live in LA, still working in the fast paced advertising world, but also love relaxing while making delicious homemade food, spending my Sunday afternoons making a big dinner to wind down the weekend. What I’m realizing is that feeding people makes me just about happier than anything else, so what I hope to do is share with you recipes that inspire me.
